PIL Hall of Fame to honor Benson grad posthumously

In reading the Portland Tribune’s excellent breakdown of the PIL Hall of Fame’s 2015 inductees, we noticed that Benson alum Elwood Cooke (Class of 1932) will be included.  Cooke, who died in 2004, won the Wimbledon doubles championship in 1939 with teammate Bobby Riggs.  Congratulations to him and his family.
