To: Principal, Benson Polytechnic High School
From: Dale Jensen
Subject: Benson Alumni Success

Dear Principal,

I graduated from Benson in January 1945 with poor academic credentials. Education didn’t seem important to me. Fortunately, I was drafted into the United States Army in 1950. It changed my life. I was very impressed with the officers from the United States Military Academy, & I had the benefit of the G.I. Bill after I was discharged. I used that to get an education, second to none, & a degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of Washington. I have, since then, had a very successful life (see closures). I thought you should know that your students do go on to become successful citizens.

Cordially,
Dale L. Jensen P.E.

P.S. I have a letter from Benson for being a Cheer Leader, & I was a member of the Student Council
